Teaching and Learning

The Office of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment supports high-quality teaching and learning across Windsor Locks Public Schools. Grounded in the district’s Vision of the Graduate, the WLPS Strategic Plan, and Connecticut State Standards, our work focuses on ensuring that all students have access to meaningful, rigorous, and engaging learning experiences.

We work collaboratively with principals, district leaders, teachers, staff, families, and community partners to strengthen curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, and student support systems. Together, we use data and feedback to understand student needs, identify strengths and opportunities for growth, and make thoughtful decisions that support continuous improvement across our schools.
